Roae Calls for Reasonable Spending in State Budget Following Governor’s Address
February 4, 2020
HARRISBURG – After the governor delivered his annual budget proposal today to a joint session of the state House and Senate, state Rep. Brad Roae (R-Crawford/Erie) issued the following statement:
“The governor’s spending proposal is unaffordable and excessive because it’s nearly double the rate of inflation. The governor wants to spend money faster than Pennsylvanians can earn it. Skyrocketing spending always leads to a tax increase, whether it’s this year or sometime in the future. Pennsylvania needs to control state spending in order to protect residents against tax hikes.”
