Roae Appointed to Four House Committees

January 18, 2019

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Brad Roae (R-Crawford/Erie) announced today that he has been selected to serve on four House committees during the 2019-20 legislative session.

Roae will serve on the state House Health, Insurance, Education and State Government committees.

“These committee assignments will ensure people in our district are well represented on some very important issues,” Roae said. “From education policy to insurance issues and government reform, these committees play an important role in reviewing and advancing legislation shaping state policies.”

The House Education Committee develops state policies and procedures that strengthen schools and give students the tools they need to succeed following graduation.

The House State Government Committee deals with bills related to government reform and election processes.

Prior to serving in the state Legislature, from August 1992 to November 2006, Roae was a commercial underwriter with Erie Insurance. That professional experience will help him fulfill his service on the House Insurance Committee.

“I’m excited about my committee assignments and looking forward to the important work we have in front of us,” Roae said.
